I've been playing around with with the Customizable UI Replacer (CUIR?). I like it a lot. Here are my observations and configuration:

Heads Up Display Merged:
-- Lock_Overhaul.esp - (Lock Overhaul - Ordinator Version)
-- YOT - Lock Overhaul.esp - (YOT - Your Own Thoughts SE)
-- AMatterOfTime.esp - (A Matter of Time - A HUD Clock Widget)
-- AHZmoreHUD.esp - (moreHUD SE)
-- iHUD.esp - (Immersive HUD - iHUD)
-- Extended UI.esp - (Extended UI)
-- LessIntrusiveHUD.esp - (Less Intrusive HUD II SE)
Installation:
Widget Mod - Ported for SSE
-- Main: WidgetMod w-FISS-ScriptFix_SSE
-- Just, like, install it. I put it at the bottom of 17 -- Heads Up Display
Less Intrusive HUD II SE
-- Main: Less Intrusive HUD II SE 1.1.44-SE
-- Optional: Less Intrusive HUD II SE - FISSES Patch -towatot
-- When installing the Optional file, merge it into the Main file
-- I put it at the bottom of 17 -- Heads Up Display after Widget Mod

-- Main: Customizable UI Replacer Less Intrusive HUD SE
-- Install it way the hell down your list after ---- Heads Up Display Merged
-- Read the PDF and/or follow the MCM Config instructions below, ignore where it says there are two files for WidgetMod, the fix appears to be incorporated into the mod now
Undiscovered Means Unknown for LIH
-- Follow the instructions in the guide, although the FOMOD is a little different
-- Install it way the hell down your list after ---- Heads Up Display Merged and CUIR
MCM Config:
A Matter of Time
-- Presets --> Load user settings --> Enter to accept --> then wait for the pop-up stating the presets have loaded

Less Intrusive HUD
-- General Settings --> check Load personal preset (make sure is 'personal') --> Enter to agree --> Exit menus completely and wait for the preset to load
Widget Mod
-- Maintenance --> click Load User Settings? --> Wait until DO IT! has changed to DONE!
Notes:
1) Undiscovered Means Unknown for LIH overwrites CUIR's compass skin. You can have one or the other as far as I can tell. I think it looks good with the CUIR's dragonborn preset
2) CUIR and Undiscovered Means Unknown must be lower than Heads Up Display Merged in the left pane

3) Do NOT put -- WM_WidgetMod.esp (Widget Mod - Ported for SSE) in the Heads Up Merge, it causes demons to spawn and create dozens of wild edits.
