Dragon Age Origins Hair

The new hair and eyebrow colors share the same order in the ingame CC (which you also can find in the hair preview picture in this package). So if you use the same slider settings for both, you will allways get matching colors.!!You can still use the hair colors originaly shipped with DA:O! They simply moved to the end of the list in the ingame.

Ok so I have twenty days left in which to scrape up enough money to pay my bills this month - that’s about £700. Still no luck with the job, had half dozen interviews but none have gone any further. I’m just an anxious fucking right now, on top of the whole feeling of the end of the world :(

I was laid off my job in September due to Covid but due to being in the job for less than two years, didn’t qualify for any payoff. I got my last month’s wages at the end of September so managed to pay the bills but right now I don’t have any income in October. If you want to support your friendly neighbourhood blogger with a few pounds, I would be super grateful 🙏🏻❤️😘

Hello it’s me again :)

Still have £250 left to meet my goal and get my bills paid this month, are you able to help a little? And by little I mean that even $5 makes a difference when you have nothing! Once again thank you so much to everyone who’s already donated and boosted, thanks to you I’ve made it this far

jchb32273: Looking for help finding the .utc files for DAA so I can make a few adjustments to NPCs that are not modded on the Nexus already... so many clones in the game, it drives me batty!! Is there a way to find these files? Thanks...

Hi, I do not currently have DAO installed to point you in the right direction but they tend to be in more or less the same places across both game and DLCs. Your bigger problem will be that iirc DAA files are encrypted, much like the other DLC files and to use them you will first have to decrypt them or obtain an already decrypted copy.
Unfortunately won’t be able to point you towards any particular method or instance either, but it’s basically the same thing people do to make pirated version of the game work.

Anonymous: hey, i've started playing the mac version of da2 and i keep running into an issue where some modded hair (like the josie/isabela mashup from ferelden cuts or the dai hair from hd isabela) show up weirdly transparent? i read something about dx9 vs dx11 compatibility maybe being the issue, but i'm not sure how to apply that knowledge to fixing this

IIRC you can switch between versions of DirectX used in game options

quincymaru: hello i couldnt really read the ask doozle since im on mobile but i saw a post about a playable elf mod for da2 and the one that was out there whitewashed everyone and y'all mentioned someone working on one ? do you know if they ever finished or ?

because Kim and Keats are beyond awesome like that ;)

Anonymous: hey, is there any way to get a character you made in the in game character creator out into the toolset? or even restart the game but use the same morph that you'd made in the cc before?

Yep, I only ever make characters in the toolset LOL. Here is a tutorial with a link to the Change Your Hero Hair and Face tool that allows you to do both of those options.

Anonymous: do you know of a tutorial for adding dialogue options for the warden? i just want to add more varied responses. i'd like to add some that are origin-specific too. thanks!

I made a ‘chargen’ pack of things, mainly complexions (ft work by ascendia!), but also some unnatural eye tints, and porting an eye retexture from DAI (by koric !)

DAO/DA2 “Black Spots On Hair“ Troubleshooting Mini Tutorial

vaelsmod:

If you’ve ever ported a hair from Skyrim (mainly Sims mod hairs) or a Sims 3/Sims 4 hair mesh into DAO or DA2, you might have run into a ‘black spots on hair’ issue. This happens when some of the normals are facing the wrong way - I don’t know why they get that way, but it happens.

This mini tutorial will briefly go over how to fix them!

Hair

Dragon Age Origins Hairstyles

This will not go over how to extract vanilla dao or da2 resources, nor how to resize hairs, nor will it go over how to install nifscripts. There’s tutorials out there on how to do so.

What you’ll need:

  • Latest version of Blender, as of writing that’s 2.79b (this is my choice, you might be able to do this in 2.49 as well)
  • Nifscripts importer for this version OR Nifskope OR another program that can import nifs, but these two are free

Anonymous: so there's this .daimod complexion that i love but wanna edit a lil bit (the original modder is okay with it).... how do i do that?
