I have the collector edition and when i try to run the patch it install but a pop up says

Whats the problem

To those who have the same problem, you don’t need to re-install the game.Try to do 3 steps:
1. find and copy the 3 original files: skuversion.txt, TSLHost.dll and TS3.exe to TheSims3GameBin in your computer (where you installed the game). I found the first two files in the DVD iso and the last file in the crack folder (thank god).This TS3.exe file is the original file of the game, not the cracked file.Remember, those files must be original.
2. Apply the patch 1.2.7
3. Download the new crack of the patch 1.2.7, apply and have fun.
It works for me.

How to Install Collector’s Edition

1-TURN OFF YOUR INTERNET DURING INSTALL
2- Download and extract the files = 5.5GB ISO Image
3- Mount ISO Image on your virtual drive and install.
4- Download the Key Gen and enter the cd keys during install
5- Download crack and install in game directory,
Replace your TS3.exe with the cracked TS3.exe located at:

C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3GameBinTS3.exe

6-Create a desktop shortcut of your installed TS3.exe and launch the game
from the TS3.exe and NOT the Sims3Launcher.exe
7-To install downloadable content, see my section “Additional Content”
8- Full Retail The Sims 3 and now play the game!

01) Open the Lightyear.iso file to launch the installer.
02) Enter valid serial number.
03) After the installation, right click The Sims 3 application and choose “Show Package Contents”
04) Navigate to Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/ and delete TS3.exe
05) Copy the TS3.exe crack file and paste it in Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/
06) Open The Sims 3 application, and it will prompt you to install the update. Let it do the update.
07) After it is done updating, copy the TS3.exe file from the crack folder again and paste it to ; Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/.
08) It will ask you to overwrite the file. Choose yes.
09) Now open The Sims 3 application again, and it should work! At least it did for me.

I don’t know what the need for the info.plist is. I didn’t overwrite that file in order for it to work. I kept it anyways, just in case.
